The Luma kit pairs a deodorizing automatic litter box with consumable accessories. Here's what ships in the box, what you replace over time, and what to check first.
Quick answer
The Luma Smart Litter Box & Accessory Kit is a starter bundle built around the Luma deodorizing automatic litter box, with filters and liners sold separately as you need them. Check the kit listing for the exact accessory count before ordering, because the catalog does not publish a fixed itemized list.
Why the accessory list isn't a fixed number
Petlibro sells Luma accessories such as filters and liners individually, so the kit's contents can change between listings and restocks. That's useful if you already have spare liners, but it means you should read the current product page rather than rely on an old unboxing video.
The practical rule: treat the box as the machine plus a starting supply, not a lifetime supply. Plan to reorder consumables based on how many cats use the box.
Where the Luma differs from a plain litter box
The Luma analyzes waste before it scoops, which is the feature that shapes setup: the box needs to be powered and connected for that analysis to work, so placement near an outlet matters more than with a manual box.
That same design means the accessories you'll actually use are the ones that keep the sensing and scooping path clean, not decorative add-ons.
Luma accessory kit FAQ
- What comes with the Luma litter box?
- The Luma Smart Litter Box & Accessory Kit includes the Luma deodorizing automatic litter box plus accessory items. The catalog lists filters and liners as individually purchasable accessories, so confirm the exact contents on the current kit listing before checkout. Screenshot or note the listing contents at purchase in case the bundle changes later.
- Are liners and filters included?
- Filters and liners are sold individually as accessories, and the kit may include a starter quantity. Because the catalog does not publish an exact count per kit, check the listing's included-items section rather than assuming a specific number. Order one spare pack of liners with the kit so you aren't caught short during the first week.
- How often will I need to replace accessories?
- Replacement pace depends on cat count and use. The Luma is rated for up to 10 cats, and busier boxes cycle through liners and filters faster. Inspect liners and filters weekly at first, then set a reorder reminder once you see your actual pace. Track your first month's usage to set a realistic reorder schedule.
- Do I need to buy anything else to set it up?
- You'll need litter and a power outlet near the placement spot. The Luma analyzes waste before scooping, so it needs to be powered and connected for that feature to work. Keep the box on a level, dry surface away from direct water spray. Test the outlet and Wi-Fi signal at the intended spot before unboxing.
- Can I buy accessories separately later?
- Yes. Petlibro sells Luma accessories such as filters and liners individually as needed, so you can restock without buying another full kit.
- Is the accessory kit worth it for one cat?
- For a single cat, the kit mainly saves you an early reorder. If you already keep spare liners and filters, compare the kit price against the litter box alone and buy only the accessories you'll use. Single-cat homes should price the box alone before choosing the kit.
